History
The station of Piazza Armerina was opened September 7, 1920 with the opening to traffic is Valguarnera-line from Piazza Armerina Dittaino. Adjacent to the station was also built the locomotive shed for storage and supply of steam locomotives of the R370 and later of Multiple Traction RALn60. Until the sixties was also linked by rail to Caltagirone, which could be reached by rail also Siracusa and Ragusa by connecting the railway station with trains Vizzini Railway Siracusa-Ragusa-Vizzini (also deleted), and through Dittaino Station, the main railway line for FS Enna, Palermo and Catania. The station was abandoned, along with the railroad in 1971 despite having a good passenger.

Features
